I like being able to rearrange columns... and sort them. That's the good. But the window has a nasty behavior where, when trying to toggle it closed using a key assignment, the keystrokes are intercepted by the filter, which filters the list accordingly, rather than closing the window. That's the less good. It's really annoying.

Just a tip: you can walk around all these "windows issues" using modifiers instead of simple keys. In this case, Ctrl or Alt plus a key can do the trick.
Ah. I'm so dense. But in my defense.... I had the Track Manager assigned to Shift+k... which was sufficient as a modifier when I was using using the old SWS Tracklist... but which is now just a another keystroke to the native Track Manager's filter box. Ok I get it. It DID seem strange that something like that would survive that long. I withdraw the snarkitude.
Yeah, Shift won't work in this case because it's a common modifier for capital letters but as far as I know all windows can be opened/closed without problems using any of these 3 modifiers (I think I learned this from Ollie :) ).

Another not so good thing is that in the sws one you can type say "drums bass" and your get tracks with both names rather than in the new track manager where you get just tracks that are called "drums bass". We need a boolean like this "
The track manager really is a nice thing. It encourages use. Which yields enhancement requests. 1) The TM is great for showing and changing the status of tracks. But when clicking in, say, the Solo column, I intuitively expect to be able to use the same modifiers as with the regular buttons: Cttl-Alt to exclusive, etc. But no. 2) There should be folder collapse/expand icons to make the list easier to read. By adding significant functionality to the track manager, it starts standing in as a control panel, along with the MCP and the TCP. Add a vol control... and a pan... and there you go. So evolved it's primitive.
Tried the Track Manager for a few seconds and went right back to the SWS one. I forget exactly why. Oh, I think it was b/c I couldn't shift click multiple tracks and hide/show them all at once. Maybe that's possible now though. What are the benefits of the native TM over SWS?
