Hi, Do you know any FX settings making a Gibson guitar (L6-S of 1970s) sounding like a Fender Stratocaster (or very similar) specially for chords/rhythm ? Before you say it, please understand that I can't afford to buy a Strat.

This maybe: I had a Digitech RP100 long time ago with single coil to humbucker switch, and vice versa. With a parametric EQ with settings to Q-value you could experiment your way to something close - is my guess. Otherwise I think a Line 6 JTV model will do the job for less than a real strat. :)
Since the L6S is a rather rare (since it was formerly very unpopular) guitar which has gained some value already, I wouldn't mess up the electrics for something that isn't a realistic target anyway - getting genuine strat/tele sounds out of it. A strat is a strat is a strat and even the cheapest china strat bought used for $20 will get you more "Fender" sound than you could ever get out of that old axe. Given that it's in original condition, any modification would make you lose way more value than such a cheapo strat copy would cost you.
Why on earth would anyone want a guitar to sound like a strat? :D (I do love my Washburn N2 "super strat" with humbuckers and coil taps - insanely versatile) Now, if you said telecaster, id's be a whole nother story....

This pedal is supposed to do just that. You should be able to emulate its settings by running your signal through one LP and one HP filter (Reaq's, for instance), which precise frequencies and Q settings you should be able to find online.
