I'm trying to get the MIDI to come out from the DIGI002 into my Korg N5ex keyboard. Then I was the use the keyboard's sounds and get a stereo 1/4" send from the keyboard into the inputs on the DIGI002. I'm not showing that there's anything coming out from the 002. How do I set it so that Pro Tools, or my computer knows to send the MIDI signal out of the 002? Thanks for your help! -Ryan Young

Are you using ProTools to output the MIDI signal? Are you using a prerecorded MIDI track? If not, and you are playing it live, do you have the MIDI track record armed? If you are using some other program, you will probably have to set the 002 as the MIDI output device in that particular program. If you want the 002 to be the default MIDI device for windows, you have to set it that way on the audio tab of the control panel->Sounds and Audio Devices Properties window.

I imported a MIDI into Pro Tools and I just want the MIDI signal to be sent out of the 002 and into the keybaord. I think the only thing I need to do is to set in my sounds and audio devices to output to the digi002, but there's no option for it. I have a digi001 that I took out of this machine and reinstalled protools for the 002. The option only shows for the 001 still. Is there a driver that I should download somewhere to get that working?

The MIDI driver is in the software; I think you might need to uninstall and re-install, though I didn't have that problem when I upgraded mine.

Haha, first of all, I love your pro tools help site... If there's one thing I learned from it, RTFM. Secondly, I reinstalled twice and it's finally showing the 002 in my sounds. I output it there and it's fine, thanks so much! There is one other question though... I'm trying to get my S/PIDF output to work. I have a gold RCA cable for the output and it's going into the S/PIDF in on my reciever. It worked fine with my 001 but I can't get any sound to come out with the 002. Any suggestions?

Check your I/O setup (chapter 7 ) and make sure the spdif is setup correctly. Also, make sure that s/pdif isn't set for "optical" in hardware setups.
