Would be nice if Reaper was able to support multiple screen monitors and multiple windows. Take for example Photoshop. It has the ability to have multiple windows that are not contained within one parent window. You can drag on window that might contain certian functionality across different monitor screens. They all work together, but are disjointed. It would be nice if Reaper had the same functionality where I might have my track window open on one screen and my mix window on another screen. And perhaps a different window open for my plugins that I could move back and forth.
Hi Rick- It already does, and has for some time. I'm trying to think if there's a setting or option for that, but I've used multiple monitors for so long I don't recall. Someone will no doubt chime in with more info, but rest assured you can rearrange most REAPER windows however you want. -Susan
Multiple Monitors work fine. Just the issue is Windows are not a seperate process so that means no multiple desktop client mode ( think bblean shell, linux desktop spaces, OS X) I wish this would work in Reaper as I use the Bblean shell ( uses 5 megs of ram) instead of the Windows explorer shell and would like to have different windows in reaper going to virtual desktops At least I can blind windows inside the Reaper application so that only the Windows I want can be seen as the main Reaper can be blinded into a bar.. example of me demonstrating this on Windows
Try undocking the mixer then fullscreening on second monitor, then save that as a screenset. Or with MIDI editor. Next time you load up Reaper it won't remember that they need to be fullscreened. I had troubles with screensets and this, too. So yes, Reaper definitely needs improvements in this area.
Agreed, but it doesn't not support multiple screen monitors and multiple windows. I thought Rick was saying he didn't think REAPER supported them at all, which isn't the case. -Susan
