30 gig session, what the heck?

I'm trying to find out why a session is 30 gigs. 12 tracks of audio at 24/48, about 23 minutes. My machine freezed a couple times during recording and I had to restart. Have I recorded multiple takes I don't know about. I tried the delete unused regions option but it brought nothing up.

Well...it's almost a miracle that you're able to run the session...but since you can. Heed Rail's warning in the other thread (limit your allocation to what you think you'll need). Now, since the session is working fine and you seem to be stuck with files that are just HUGE...check out the "compact selected" command on page 310 of the reference guide to tame them. It will chop out unused sections of the audio files hopefully bringing that session size back down to a normal level.
