I highly recommend a few things. First, go to the DIGIFLIX and watch all of them as they are a great learning tool. Second, try to always record with a click track. This won't work for live performance recording, but will make a big deal in the studio. It means that you will have your tempo set right from the start which allows for simple setting of timing on delays and simple song edits using grid mode. As for bussing, here is how to do it but consider it something that should not be done all the time but more for trying to make something strange or to save a bad track that you can't re-record as adding 6-10 plugins on a track often means it was badly recorded. Anyway, set the output of the audio track to an open bus(mono or stereo according to what the track is). Create your aux track(mono or stereo as required) and set its input to the same buss(es) as the audio track output and start with the fader for the aux track at the -0 mark(unity gain). Now you can add up to 5 more inserts. If you are using delay and verb plugins as inserts, I suggest you use them on aux tracks instead and use aux sends from the audio tracks to send to the delay/verb tracks. The only time I insert a verb on an audio track is if I am going for a trashy, spring reverb guitar sound. The only time I insert a delay on an audio track is if I am either going for the fifties slap echo in mono, or if I want a stereo widener effect for a mono track.
