I'm having trouble with a D-Control that is a bit unusual and frankly quite frustrating. So I have a session loaded up, and rather than my current session, the SURFACE has loaded a totally different session and is metering and running time code etc. on this incorrect session, BUT NOT MONITORING. However, my INTERFACES are metering the currently loaded session and I AM able to monitor it. So here's what I've tried, obviously to no avail: power cycle D-Control, Interfaces, ethernet box thingy, Mac G5 in probably any order imaginable. I have reselected the L, Main, and R modules in the peripherals in PT. I have reset the D_Control to default via "utility" jellybean. If I unplug the ethernet connection, the surface goes into its "Offline" mode with "D-control" in the scribble strips. But the interfaces ARE running the correct session....... I'M STUCK, HELP! P.S. I work at a recording school so its for a good cause

If you are at a school and the surface is on a network with other Pro Tools systems, they might have control of your surface. I would check with other control rooms... Gil

Wow, nail on the head with that one my friend. I'll explain just in case anyone else has the same problem: So we also have a AWS 900 here which as you know syncs with PT via HUI. Well, some genius went into the AWS PT peripherals, turned OFF HUI and ENABLED ethernet, selecting the ICON L, Main, and R so the AWS was controlling the D-Control and so on. Ugh. Thanks again digimidi, I would never have thought of that. Regards.
