Can Reaper or ReaBanks filter the patch names for external synths? For example, within Cakewalk Sonar, I can search an external synth for the word "piano". Doing so retrieves a list of all patches that have the word "piano" in their name. It's easy to audition the patches in the list, and choose whichever one I like. Cubase has similar functionality. I've installed ReaBanks in Reaper, and it can read my Cakewalk instrument definition file, but it doesn't seem able to filter the patch names the way Sonar and Cubase can. Instead, I have to click on one bank at a time, and manually scroll through the hundreds of patches in each bank, looking for the word "piano". I'm new to Reaper, and I'm just trying it out, but I thought that since it doesn't come with any virtual synths, it might instead provide some convenient functionality for using external synths. Does Reaper or ReaBanks offer any way to search for specific patches on external instruments? (I'm on Windows 8.1.)
