Looking here at the forum you'd think Reaper is a huge flawed DAW but I just wanted to post on how nice this DAW is once you get it set up to play back MIDI automations, and host Kontakt. We have replaced our hardware Sequencers and now have my DAW and a backup laptop running MIDI only. 3 weeks now and not a hiccup. The laptop serves as a monitor for the crew as I have Notes using 72 sized Fonts for read outs, and everybody is happy. I look forward to any additions, but honestly I have never had a such a breeze of an app before. Sure it was a huge PITA learning all of jargon, and various work arounds. But this DAW is great. THanks Cockos and SWS guys...

Since v4, Reaper is bringing nothing but joy to me. As I run all of my VSTs in a dedicated process per plugin, I never ever had a Reaper crash or lost data. Indeed, praise the Reaper stability! It's legendary!

I was using Bidule in Standalone running 4 x instances of Kontakt and hardware sequencers for a few years, then tried to use Bidule VST inside of Kontakt and the load times made me nervous, and now I just use the process mentioned above, but each instance of Kontakt is a single Instrument bank that seems to run off of it's own process. The things that Reaper does good, it just does really well.

Ah... it's just the net. :) No pro DAW is hugely flawed (afaik) but depending on where the discussion is taking place at any given moment, and about which DAW... they all are. Mysteriously, people make great music with all of them. ;) Reaper is great software. You'd have to be a bit of an idiot (or severely biased) not to see that.
