MBox2 mini and constant 100% CPU utilization

I just purchased an Mbox2 mini and have a problem where as soon as I open any application that uses the MBox2 interface My CPU sits on 100% until I close the application. This occurs with Pro Tools LE and other apps such as reason, Cubase etc. This makes my setup pretty much useless, before I go back to the shop and ask for a upgrade is there anything I could do to get this fixed ? I have tried completely uninstalling and reistalling 3 times now. I've also tried the standalone drivers with Cubase and Reason with no luck. **EDIT: I just found this >> "The problem occurs because the CPU meter in Windows peaks to a 100% when using Pro tools which causes the fan to go on. There is no known workaround for this, for further information contact your PC laptop manufacturer." I find that kind of response enirely unacceptable. It's not just that the windwos CPU utilization indicator goes to 100% it's that the CPU is running at 100%. The fan turns on to stop the CPU from frying itself - for me it sits at 85 degrees celcius which is 5 degrees lower than the auto power off level to stop damage to the laptop. How am I supposed to write music with this going on ???

CAN ANYONE HELP ME??? i just bought a nu laptop, i bought a mBox mini n i cant get Pro tools installed, it goes fine up until checking ther devices and freezes???????????????????????
