Simple OS question

I'd like to know if there is any good for me to upgrade to Mac OS 9.2 I'm currently running under OS 9.04,with PTle 5.01 and G4 400+ AM 3. Is it worth it?knowing that I make music with alot of sof tsynths and sound design apps(Metasynth).Will I be able to manage correctly the Digi control panel for sound I/O ?Thanx for infos EM

I am running 9.2.1 on a 733 G4 using PTLE 5.1.1 and also running Reaktor 3. I have not had any problems. You can still control/modify your I/O for the 001. I haven't run any previous versions of PTLE or OS, but I thought I would give you some info on how the updates are running.

by the way, 9.2 that ships with the quicksilvers (i have a 733) are not backwards compatible. i tried loading 9.1, then tried 9.0 and 9.04...nothin'. SO: my system works, after ironing out many bugs and removing OSX but i was much happier with os 9.1 AND os 9.04. i'm running ptle 5.1.1 oh and also, i had to buy a new atto scsi card (dual channel) because my single channel did not function in my new quicksilver but continues to function great in my G4 350...THAT was frustrating. the atto tech described to me that the motherboards in the quicksilvers are a different "version" that need more current hardware, etc. weird but all good to know. i'm considering seling my 733 now to get more of my money out of it, than waiting until digi and apple get on the same page (or at least a LITTLE closer with updates, etc.). at that time, i'll buy whatever the latest box is digi approves...the things we do for love!
