I found this on one of the PT6 pages.....I use a floppy drive with X all the time. Plug-in Authorization on Mac OS X As Mac OS X does not support floppy drives, all plug-in authorizations for Pro Tools-compatible plug-ins and software options are now done through Pace's iLok hardware authorization key. To learn more about iLok and why it is required to run plug-ins with Pro Tools 6.0, please click here.

Hey don't complain. All this means is that Digi is going to make all of their plug-ins iLok compatible. I assume this means the focusrite plugs will now be able to work without floppy auth. (Or are they already?)

The line in the News section is not quite accurate. As it says in the compatibility documents and the iLok info page, floppy based copy protection authorizations will no longer work. USB floppy drives will work (providing the drive and drivers are OSX compatible), but it is not possible to use floppy authorizations in OS X.
And when can we unauthorize an Ilok so we can move our plug-ins to another computer in the same facility? We can't afford to buy 6 Pitch 'n' times...we need to be able to move the two we have around......
