Can TDM really hang on with the new multiple processors? I can see digi selling them another couple years at best. Am I missing something here?

NAMM is this month, and HD debuted at NAMM four years ago, did it not?

If you take the letters: TDM, HD, MIX Assign the alpha numeric to each letter; T=20, D=4, M=13 H=8, D=4 M=13, I=9, X=24 Add each group of numbers together until you have a single digit number; TDM=1 HD=3 MIX=1 Add each of those together and you get 5. That means the life of TDM will go through '05. Which can only mean that in '06 we will see the end of TDM as we know it.

When I can run 80+ Channels of I/O with 100 tracks @ 96K, 150+ Plug-ins going and low latency like on my HD Accel 7 card system. I'll be convinced a native system will work.
the CPS's gets bigger, so does what we want from a system, and so does the Hardware of DSP - Based Systems. Daniel
The real question is what precentage of the recording population can afford to spend a lot more for what appears to be smaller and smaller gains, I would think there is not enough of you to warrant the r&d a company has to spend. Like when 10 processors in a box happens, can Digi really compete long term with Intel, AMD or Apple IBM etc..? I doubt it At some point Digi will be a software company.
