I have a ~52 second intro that could use some scrubbing... and I do not have the tools to do it. (Spectral layers anyone?) It's an extremely delicate acoustic piece, I can't retrack it. (or rather, I really like this take, I can't remember what the f&*% all I did here! extremely nuanced simultaneous fretting and harmonics going on... I can get it close but, not with this same feel) I'd like to get rid of the lip? and other noises. I was literally trying not to breath tracking this (the noisy mic and pre amp noise I'm fine with.) This will be a trade... I'll collab (vocals, guitar) or edit or mix something - what ever sort of task that I might be suited for. ;) IF it's not possible to really "fix" it's all good. Would like to hear someone else's results, mine have all failed. This is tracked in a M/S setup, but the stereo file in not encoded. 24 bit 48k .wav file.

James, the level on the recording you posted is really low. I have found that the Spectro plugin (by our very own Schwa) has amazing surgical capabilities that allow you to go into a song and very delicately cut out offending sounds without mucking up anything else. Try it. You'll like it. T

There is a large amount of background noise here..personally I would retrack this, there is a lot that needs to be fixed due to recording errors. when you raise the track in volume its going to be very very noisy.

Being that the only human in the world (me ;) )that could probably play this has forgotten exactly how to get these tones, retracking isn't a great option. (some non-standard hybrid fretting and harmonics here, just can't get that mojo exactly right now for some darn reason and this drives me crazy! lol) This was slated to be the start of the album, so I was compelled to have it be (unnaturally) loud and pronounced, but I'm shifting the order, and now I can fade this in and it's all good.. ha ha.

Well, Everyone loves a noise reducing challenge right? :) Was curious how my reafir parameter modulating trick (watch the wet/dry knob dance) would fair on this difficult type of material, as hard not to kill the harmonics of your guitar or just get rid of the wrong part of the noise. This is a ballpark track template, not done with any real critical listening, but I believe you can at least reduce the noise a bit with this approach with some tweaks, without ruining the vibe, crucially the attack portions remain clean. To make more transparsnt can reduce the base % wet in parameter settings or adjust Max vol slider/strength, lots of options. Btw It expects the audio item to be at +17db in case of template loading issues.

*nm OK here's an issue, I think the parameter modulation is only processed per sample block. Sometimes I'm getting a bit of a "zippering" or, more like a staticy thing happening... investigating...

James, curious what *nm means or if is a response to my post? Anyhow, your latest clip sounds pretty good on a standard playback system, perhaps as you say could be a fraction crispier. Doesnt matter how you get there so hope Bob doesnt keep too many secrets..
