Melodyne Trouble

Using Melodyne plug v1.04 on reaper v3 I insert the plug. I read in the section i need to tweak. When I hit stop, the plug processes the data. Unfortunately, the resulting output is showing everything to be the same pitch. This is the first time I have used the app in reaper. I have used it many times in Cubase on the same machine and have not ever seen this behavior. Any ideas? Is there a config check box I need to check/uncheck to make this work?

is the level too low or something? i only have the melodyne vst demo here but it works well for me.

If you are using Vista, the plugin needs to be installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\VSTplugins\Melodyne plugin. I had to install into this folder to get it working in Vista x64 with Reaper x32. I don't understand what you mean by the "stop" button. Do you mean the "transfer" button? Are you actually using the plugin or are you using one of the program versions bridged into Reaper? Version 1.0.4.2(VST) working fine for me. I don't remember making any settings changes but it was several months ago so I may have forgotten.

I don't have it in front of me but... there's an "algorithm" preference in one of melodyne plugin's menus - it needs to be set to "melodic" - if it is set to "percussive" all the blocks will be the same as you describe.

Interesting. I just went through the same nightmare. I tried all different modes (automatic, melodic, percussive) without success (using the standalone with bridge). But I found that, while on automatic, it worked.....once. But there was an unrelated problem with that transfer (human error). So, I spent about two hours re-transferring the audio over and over, until eventually it worked. No idea why. I didn't have this problem in Reaper before V3, but to be fair, I'm also on an unfamiliar computer. I'm dreading the transfer of the next song. If anyone finds the solution to this, PLEASE post! Euro
