96 IO and 192 IO test

Did anyone tested the 96 and 192 IO at 48khz.? Big difference? advice ? Im planning to go the HD route but work only at 48KHZ (for now)

I wonder what level of clock you have to move up to before you get a distinguishable improvement over the Sync/192 clock?

Great question Aux. I'm about to start venturing into that test as well. I'll share findings when I have some info. Also, I always need to keep reminding myself, good music will speak through whatever mic, converter, DAW, tape, etc. and will move people. Not that we shouldn't strive for the best available, but don't forget to always to the best with what you've got. I'm preaching to the preacher here. Happy music making, all. Peace. mixboy

i have a friend who does professional mastering that i consult with regularly. he just switched from the 192 as his master clock to an Apogee PSX-100SE. he seems very happy with the change, though he bought the unit primarily for his analog insert chain. that being said, i would look at the Apogee Big Ben if you want a stand-alone master clock. lance
