Well the topic says most. I have a avi that plays fine on computer sound and everything then I start tmpeg loads the movie sets the bitrate and press start(using SVCD vbr standard). Then after 3h I get a movie with no sound. Tried every way I can to extract the audio but no luck with that either. Is there any prog that can convert it to vcd/svcd with adui or am i screwed? Tried vdub to make wav renamed to wma n osound. Tried tmpeg to wav no sound but a 450mb wav file. Tried Ulead media studio 6 to mpeg no sound. Then if I get the adio out how can i convert it to wav?

If you get the (decompressed).wav you can encode it to a mp2 audio stream separately and then mux them with BBmpeg. If you cannt get the proper .wav then try to get it with "graphedit": delete the video rederer, change the directSound output to Wavediest/Filewriter.
cant connect the filewriter says they cannot find an agrement and might be missing crossover filters. But on the bright side I used nero to make an image file (VCD 1.0) that is built in nero for free and it managed to convert the file to a vcd with shitty vide qualtiy BUT it has sound. So now I can demux the audio convert the video file with my favourite TMPEG and mux togheter. Just hope the audio doesnt need to be reencoded to be SVCD compliant but that I will find out. A big thnx for the reply and sugestion.

Whats not expressed? 1. First asked for help. 2. Found out nero could fix the audio for me. 3. Got answered the bitrate for audio in VCD is equal (most of the times) to svcd. 4. Said no more help needed as i got my avi to svcd and thnaked all for replys. So what DONT you get?
