Re: Printing in SB programs

I'll check, but I don't recall making changes, at least major ones. The reason is a webserver is a webserver, regardless of the platform it runs on. I spent 25 years running my own webserver for clients and to sell virtual websites, and the webserver runs on top of the OS. Whether it is a Unix, Linu...

Re: Printing in SB programs

I created a PDF file that contains the entire text of this post and a complete listing of all the code that is in this post. You can find this PDF file at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/k9qsguqwh7ki8ms/Printing%20in%20SB%20programs.pdf?dl=0 I think I created this link so that everybody can view it. If y...

Re: The game of Risk

I had one other thought about the way you have structured the way the game is played. I understand adding defense of strength overtime when you occupy a country/state for a number of turns is an interesting addition to the game. However, because when I hit the army button and everything turns to zer...

Re: The game of Risk

I'll try the Apple home button. I spent most of the night playing just two games, one I won, the other I lost. I quit (restarting SB) because most of the time I went last, and only had two countries left. I played this game (and Stratego) almost every day growing up, so I'm excited about your game. ...

I love this game. But question – where is the quit button?

Re: Screen size- Running in App versus Basic

This is one reason why I've done more SB development directly in XCode. Apple keeps it updated with new hardware on a regular basis. Also, things that work in the SB IDE no longer works in XCode, such as the slider. I wasted a lot of time with our Dates App, trying to get it to work in XCode only to...

Re: Screen size- Running in App versus Basic

I can't run XCode v10 on my iMac as it is considered obsolete by Apple (Spring 2008 build) so updates physically check hardware and refuses to load. But I would assume that your IPad should be listed. One thing you can do, which I've been doing a lot of is direct development in XCode instead of on t...

Re: Screen size- Running in App versus Basic

What version of XCode? There are also settings in XCode that are device-specific, so the iPad you choose may be a generic iPad (such as XCode v8.2 does not have the iPad Pro as a device) so it picks or you pick the closest device to it. I have a 12.8 inch iPad Pro running iOS 12 and used Smart Basic...

Re: Print a SB source

Thanks. I just moved to a new house in August, and after a heavy box crushed my foot and a fever put me in the hospital twice, I'll be unpacking my office and setting up all my computer equipment. Should take 1-2 weeks. I'll email him once I start testing this and other options I may come up with. R...

Re: Print a SB source

That's right. I did copy that program as well as the one from rbytes. I was just thinking since my network my printer has its own IP address accessible via WIFI just maybe the applet can either be bypassed, or converted into the P5 posted here awhile back so it is part of SB program. Just doing some...
