iConvert 6.sb

Another significant upgrade for iConvert, a joint Canada-Netherlands production.

Dutchman did most of the work on version 6, which now has 24 conversion categories. The most recent is his implementation of Time Zones. You can easily calculate the time difference between any pair of almost 400 cities and towns around the world. You can even factor in Daylight Savings Time or not, by setting the DST switch, a new control in the Settings window. If you would like your home city or town included, let us know.

The Settings window gets pretty crowded when shrunk down to fit an iPhone screen - especially because switches only come in one size in Smart Basic. I could make custom switches at a smaller size, but just haven't got around to that yet.

Use this link to access Dropbox and download a folder containing all necessary files. Then move that folder from Dropbox to wherever you want it on your Apple device.

I get a near a message that says "link does not exist."

Please provide a new link that works. Thanks. Can't wait to try out the new version.

That link was sent to me by Dutchman, so I guess some change at his end has broken it. No problem, here is the link to my copy. Ton also made an installer to reduce the copy size. Just download the Install-Convert folder to your Dropbox, then move it to Smart Basic and run the .sb file. A new folder named Convert will appear. Inside it will be iConvert 6.sb and a folder named iConvertSystem that contains all the dependent files. You can run iConvert 6.sb from there, or move it and the ...System folder where you want them.

Thanks, I will be downloading it this morning.

Also, my Cosmology conversions (part 1) is ready to test, so I will be splitting my time between the two other projects (the email I sent you, calling programs and saving/passing data back and forth) and putting my conversions into the iConcert 6b format.

Once I am done, who should I send my changes for review. I believe, since this is my first attempt to put my conversions into iConvert, someone should look over my changes to make sure I did them correctly and that I did not miss anything.
