In a recent game of Hamurabi with a new coat, I noticed too late that instead of entering 800 bushels to feed 400 people for a year, I entered 80! It was a silly mistake that in "real life" would have caused riots, revolution and impeachment. I think I deserved that.

Instead, when I pressed Next Round I was only informed that the death rate had jumped that year, and I could see that my population had shrunk. I would like more dramatic action, as exists in some older versions of Hamurabi. I think my game should have ended immediately with some very strong criticism of my incompetence, and my being declared "National Fink".

I also find that there is no obvious finish to games. I have been ruler for as long as 24 years, yet there is never a clear ending. It would be better to complete a ten year cycle, get a summary of what I did and a verbal rating + score of how well I have done, and then an option to continue (if I had reached the minimum acceptable score), restart or quit.

Ok,
I will add those features as there will be another version. The game will evaluate after the tenth round, but will then give the option to continue. I will strengthen the effect of severe under-feeding, but will also consider a warning in case of obvious input errors.

You can grab the scoring routines from my program. It even calculates the number of people who wants you dead if your bad enough!

I spelled out all variables and routine labels as following old code can be difficult. Due to memory issues, sometimes programmers would reuse a variable for something different, and I don't mean in FOR/NEXT loops.

I finally got Super Star Trek working, but I need to test it thoroughly before posting it. I will be posting the original code with the changes needed for it to run in SmartBASIC.

Also, the new Oil Company game works, but I have to look at the screen size routines. I use an iPad Pro 10.5-inch tablet, so some of the displays don't look right. But I did strike oil on my first grid search!

Be sure to download the manual, because there is a lot more than hitting oil while exploring ;)
Playing the game again after 6 years, i think that the user interface is a little clumsy, but it was one of my first programs in sB and the sB version at that time was in the startup phase.

This is the final version (as far as i am concerned), with the following features:
- graphical representation of the results
- an evaluation and rating after 10 years, the game continues
- starvation starts if the allotted food is less than 70% of the norm
- food allocation that leads to starvation is signalled, and may be corrected
- immigration of people starts if the allotted food is more than 130% of the norm
