Thanks for the suggestion. It looks like Xmuxer doesnt support DTS but I'll play with it some more. Perhaps I'm going about this the wrong way. Is there some way to make Zoomplayer play an alternate audio track that's sitting in a separate file (synced) using Haali or some other splitter? I played with it for a bit but couldnt get it going. Using the ffdshow audio decoder. Or is there any other way that I could play back the alternate audio file with the video + subs?

So let me get this right... What you really want to do is "add an DTS audio stream to your existing TS file"... not an AC3 audio stream? Cheers

Yes, I corrected my original post - I apologize for the confusion. Any playback ideas, if muxing is difficult? At this point, I'll try anything!

For dts you need Manzanita Mp2ts which is not free and cost a pretty penny. You could demux the .ts to an m2v and mux the m2v/dts into an MKV with no quality loss.

OR if you use Media Player Classic for playback just add an additional sound track and play the original TS using the video portion but using the added DTS sound track in MPC for audio. Click on File / Open File and select the TS then in the DUB field click browse and select the DTS file. Play back job done, if of course the external audio track is synced.
