Hello everyone, It's finally time to learn to work with Samplers and such. Wonder if someone could point me to some Free samples sites. I've googled a bit but most are pay sites, though it doesn't say that till you've gone through a thousand samples and are ready to Dl'd. I found one that did;nt tell you till you try'd to sign in that it has been known to not work well with REAPER. What ya gonna do? Thx for your help. E.

Hmm. You need albums and a mic. Not a site.

Probably the best page for starting and beyond: For free samplers, there's one best choice: Shortcircuit (version 1).

+1 for shortcirtcuit V1. (Don't bother with V2, I think it was abandoned mid dev) - V1 is a ver poewrful multi layered sampler that has worked well for me - I wish I had it's equivalent in a hardware device! As for samples, there's lots free out there, takes some digging but be aware of royalty / licensing issues when using other peoples samples (especially if you're taking them from songs) - can be a nightmare if you want to release your music! Sid.
