Once you've got the REAPER tracks responding Myk, just select them (not the track with SD4 in it) and freeze them. It's easy (and the easiest to explain). REAPER renders the tracks to audio and deletes the sends to the tracks. You end up with several tracks of audio and yet you can "un-freeze" back to how it was if you wish. I've been trying this with SD2 today and it works beautifully. >

Not at my recording computer at the moment. If I understand, I select the tracks the drums are supposed to go onto and choose Freeze. This will make real audio from the MIDI track, but leave the MIDI track in place and muted?

I've been putting my MIDI on one track, my drum VSTi on the next, and then the audio outs from the VSTi on subsequent (destination) tracks. I freeze the destination tracks only and mute the VSTi track if it gets distracting or bypass the plug if I want to free up CPU or RAM. Destination tracks get wavs written to them and the VSTi track's sends are deleted with the freeze (returned if un-frozen). If you freeze the VSTi track you get a 32-channel wav file if you're not careful. Not tried freezing the whole lot yet..? Edit: Does that make sense?? >

Got this figured out, thanks to this chart: SSD-4 - SONAR X1 out st1 SSD4 = 1/2 Stereo out st2 SSD4 = 3/4 Stereo out st3 SSD4 = 5/6 Stereo out st4 SSD4 = 7/8 Stereo out st5 SSD4 = 9/10 Stereo out st6 SSD4 = 11/12 Stereo out st7 SSD4 = 13/14 Stereo out st8 SSD4 = 15/16 Stereo out mn9 SSD4 = 17 L out mn10 SSD4 = 18 R OR 17-18 stereo out mn11 SSD4 = 19 L out mn12 SSD4 = 20 R OR 19-20 stereo out mn13 SSD4 = 21 L out mn14 SSD4 = 22 R OR 21-22 stereo X1 out mn15 SSD4 = 23 L out mn16 SSD4 = 24 R OR 23-24 stereo X1 This was in reference to Sonar, but seems to work for reaper to. I didnt know there were multiple channels in tracks. got a lot to learn.. I guess someone who does this for a living already knew this stuff.
