Transfer Box Oil Level '97 V70 Turbo AWD

Hello, I would firstly like to congratulate you all on a fantastic forum, Well done. Iam a newbie to both this forum & to being a Volvo owner so be gentle... After reading a post regarding the owner of a similar car to mine (other than it being an R), and the poor guy stating that he was about to have his car's fourth transfer box fitted, I am desperate to find out how you check the transfer box oil level (If at all) and what oil you run in it. Any help gratefully received Thank you all once again. Graham Robertson
