Does Ripbot retain TrueHD?

Ok I want to retain TrueHD soundtrack, not downconvert it etc as I have all the goodies to do 1080P and TrueHD/DTSHD audio. So does Ripbot retain TrueHD audio or simply convert to flac and then to AC3 DD? If so what can I do to retain True HD audio and make a Ps3 compliant M2ts (with no file size limit as I can use tveristy to transfer)

Ps3 does not support TrueHD/DTSHD from single .m2ts file. If I recall correctly only ac3 is allowed.

Can it be done in the form of a mkv file with h264 encoding? Can it be then run through mkv2vob? Can't find a way to retain TrueHD for ps3 playback :(

Question: Do you have receiver which is able to DECODE TrueHD/DTSHD stream ???? I doubt! If answer is no then you get only ac3 and core dts.

Hi Atak Actually Yes I do. Thats why I am trying to retain TrueHD. Have a 46 inch 1080p saamsung and just watched The Dark Knight with its Imax scenes and TrueHD audio :)

Hi Jamos thanks for the reply Using Tversity you can actually transfer an entire file from your PC to Ps3. I have transferred an 18gb blu ray rip and got all audio soundtracks :) So size isn't a concern, just a method of converting to a blu ray format that retains TrueHD. I understand Ps3 is not the best, but they can always keep uodating and tweaking firmware. Atak as Jamos said, that is the bigget Joke of this generation of Amplifiers. A number if not all BluRay players can decode TrueHD/DTSHD natively, but not all can send the sound as LinerPCM. PS3 can therefore it can decode TrueHD and my amplifier is capable of acceptig Multi Channel LPCM. Ps3 cannot bitstream but it can do this.

I cannot add TrueHD because tsmuxer has some major problems with this format.

Cheers Atak, figured as much, will use Ripbot for hd-dvd with only dd+ Jamos I am not actually streaming. Using tversity you can transfer a file larger than 4gb (fat32 compliant) from pc to your PS3 (it physically resides on ps3 hdd) Would HD audio concievably work then Will look into your suggestion as well.

^ how does that work when the hdd is fat32?
