Audio Units ONLY synths on the way !

It's already starting 2 MAJOR new softsynths will be AU only for MAC. The Novation V-Station and the new KORG collection (MS 20 PolySix and Wavestation). Real bummer for us ProTools guys. I have emailed Novation but there are no plans for RTAS/ProTools support.

This is why Digi needs to add Audio Unit support. Unless there is some unknown technological hurdle that I don't know about, there is absolutely no reason why Digi shouldn't support Audio Units. It won't hurt their profits. Indeed, it will make ProTools-TDM the ultimate platform. The only platform able to run TDM/RTAS/and AU. I can only imagine that they must be planning to add AU support in a future release. But there has been no mention of it.

Personally, I think AudioUnits should be in the forefront of Digi's minds since AU would be a fantastic way to put new life into ProTools. While I commend the introduction of Rewire in PT 6.1, AudioUnits would give PT users further possibilities to add synths and plugins in PT at a low cost.

Kinda OT, but Apple claims Jaguar ships w/ an AU Velocity Engine optimized reverb, but I can't seem to locate it... Anyone know where this beast is hiding?
