the problem with logics key commands is that you have to find them in the list - set them to a key and then remember the key binding to execute. In reaper you can execute directly from the actions window. example:to implode items on different tracks to takes, you press '?' to open the action window then 'imp ite dif' and you're ready to launch the action. if you want to bind it to a key or midi control you can (same as logic) but it is much easier to launch the actions that you haven't learned yet. the rapid updates are great: new capabilities are added to the program and made available to users generally at no charge and right away. what is not confidence insipring about that? you would rather wait a year or two and then be charged for the new feature - is that more "inspiring"? likewise how is a steady interaction with the user base a problem? I have had suggestions that I've made on the forum result in improvements in days after making them. this is problematic because...? our cold autistic 'pro' culture does not necessarily give us the optimal tools. give humanity a chance!
