where is the VIN on a 1968 P1800

I own a 1972 1800ES and the VIN no. is stamped on the offside 'A' post about 6 inches below the door check strap. It is stamped into the metal on the flange that holds the door seal. If the car has been painted in the past it is probably hidden by the paint. I don't know if the earlier 1800s VIN no. is in the same place. Bob Clark

I have broken up about 10 1800Ss over the last few years including a '68. The VIN was always on the bulkhead. Gordon
