Sorry for this: I think that it's complete nonsense what you make, unless you want to sell it on International Market :D 5 audio and 21 subtitle in AVI - I wouldn't call it Joule, but overload. What you make is too much and nonsense even for DVD backup.

I fart in your general direction. But seriously. 5 AC3 audio streams? Even if they are all stereo or even mono this leaves so little room for video it would look like poo.
well what he said is that he has 5 different ac3 channels for different languages... rather sounds to me like 5 ac3 files... or did he somehow mix 5 different languages into 1 ac3 file, one for each channel. i guess this would really sound funny :-P steVe

Dear crOOk: Serving people with movie copies via Kazaa is not theme for this forum. Copyright stays for audio tracks too. Btw. I ripped from couple DVD 2 audio tracks, but I store additional audio in separated file, and load it by playback. Don't see reason to make AVI with 2 audio tracks.
Please don't take this as a shameless plug, because it is not. @dimitrius: You may want to take a look at It was designed to shine in these types of situations. It is a replacement container for AVI. It can handle an unlimited number of audio/video/subtitle tracks. This means that you won't need to have any seperate subtitle files, but can just choose the subtitle that you want at playback. The DirectShow filter is still maturing so not all of the features are available, but it sounds like once the filter is stable, this would be the container for you. More information is available from the forum.
just out of curiosity: could you post a screenshot of the movie. preferably from a rather hard to encode scene with a lot of movement for example... would be great! furthermore: you said you had 5 audio tracks: so you got russian, english, french - and? two different comentarys? oh and did you recompress the ac3 audio or did you use the original files? steVe
well i am going home right now, so i'll answer all this tomorow
