I know exactly what Brok means here, the Master L/R send in Reaper isn't really a send it's a channel bus assignment, the send level is the channel fader. This is exactly as it should be... however... this direct output assignment - along with the channel fader - should (imo) be assignable anywhere directly and those output assignments should be visible in the mixer for every channel and optionally in the TCP and totally separate from the send slots. This assignment typically can be directed to groups or physical outputs. In Reaper I assume it would be assignable anywhere else. I also think they should optionally be visible even when the sends aren't visible. You'll see a common theme forming below, the ability to directly assign the channel fader to any destination from the mixer. In Reaper you have to do that with sends and on top of that there is no visual indication of where any of the channels are going. Audition Sonar PT Cubendo
Hi guys, I miss this in the mixer too, especially for hardware output assignement purposes. Youguys might also wanna check this FR out in the tracker that is closely related to it. May be something coherent can be sorted ( metering on one hand and HW routing on the other hand) to add just the litttle missing features that 'll make REAPER that powerfull.
