Can someone tell me how to sync my pc running Cakewalk Pro to the Digi 001? I can't figure out how to use the clock in Cakewalk to control my Digi. I've checked this forum and can't find any info on this.... Can't find it in the owners manual either. Any suggestions?

lwilliam, you da man! My Digi is on my G4 400, Cakewalk is on me generic pc 350. I connect my pc's midi out thru my sound card with an adaptor. I haven't done anything with the MTC since I got the 001 and the Mac. Everything has worked perfectly so far, so I'm kind of scared about screwing things up. I had a pc for a long time, but the wonderful mac is new to me. Wish me luck.

Hi, I am trying to sync cakewalk with PTLE too, but not successful. I am a bit confused about the MMC/MTC settings, both in Cakewalk and in PTLE. Any good tips on what to set for each? there is a setting about MMC device ID, should I set it to be the same? Anyway, I tried the same number and different numbers and it still did not work for me. Thanks for the info!

Since I haven't tried the PC and Mac midi combo, I'll have to defer to others. Try this thread: ------------------ LW

We're having a terrible time trying to work out how to sync our sequencing programme (XGWorks), running on a PC, with PTLE, running on a Mac. The PT Reference Guide has not proven at all helpful. Does any know of, or can give a step-by-step guide to the whole process? Thanks, James.

Hey fellas, i have my 2 macs sync'ed together via MTC, Beige G3MT running PTLE and 7300/G3/300 running Reason/vision/Logic. Asfar as a PC slave, i guess its the same. 1. Setup OMS, you need to have OMS recognize your PC as a midi device, that receives mtc. You can use a generic Icon, and name it "PC SYNC". You will need to DEDICATE a midi channel for MTC. You cannot use this channel for anything else. 2. setup PTLE as the master. Windows>Session setup, make sure LE is sending MTC to the midi port that is hooked up to your pc's midi interface. You will also need to enable "preroll" on your transport bar. 5 seconds is good. 3. setup your PC to slave to incoming MTC. This, i have no idea how to do, as i only use macs . However, its the same idea as w/ PTLE. once its all sync'd, you should be able to hit your transport bar and both cpus should run. Oh, also set your transport to "expanded" and set the smaller window to "bars beats", have your pc sequncer program also set to bars beats. I think i covered it all...let me know if you have any problems still. peace sdf
