took the 850 for its annual bowel loosener today. its failed, but only on a flexible brake hose.easy enough ? it hasn't been run a lot since christmas and the battery was a little bit down to say the least but it started. went to pick it up from the garage and the bloke had left the sidelights on which the battery did not like at all and after an astmatic attempt to start the engine it fainted. pushed the car out of its parking space which was on a bit of a hill and let her roll back to bump start it but it didn't like that idea and there was a wall getting closer so i popped back in to the garage where the greasy feller came out to help with a booster. 30 seconds on the booster, gave it a try and vroooooom ! away i went..................with the newly illuminated lambda light ! could it be because during my attempts to bump start it, the engine has chucked unburnt fuel in to the exhaust ? hopefully the light will decide to go out on its own.(like a candle at a f4rting competition) until then i'll keep 'em crossed. ps i have a volvo 850 dog guard on ebay at present.

Hi, be careful as you can damage the cat by bump starting a car. I hope your cars ok!
