Please check out the latest by Palmyra, PA's Palm City Ramblers. "Matehuala" is a tale of love left in a little town lost somewhere in the middle of Mexico. Give it a listen, let me know what you think, open to all manner of criticism, as I am only the recordist and bassist on the track.

I first want to say that I'm not a fan of country at all, but I think I can tell a quality song when I hear it and this is one. It doesn't make me want to investigate country any further, but I imagine if I was into the genre I could find something to like quite a bit here. Nice work!

I've never been much of a country fan myself. I never know any of the songs we play, even when the crowd is singing along! Still, they've been some of the most fun gigs I've had in my life of playing bass with more opportunities to play in more places than any rock or blues or popular cover band I'd ever been in before.
