440 S TDi - nightmare

Hi everyone I have a Volvo 440 diesel. I was driving along at 45mph yesterday and the engine just cut out. It is a pig to start again but once started it will run fine again. On returning home as i slowed to turn right the engine cut out again. I drove it later that day and it was fine. Can anyone help before i shoot it!!!!!!! Thanks everyone I won't shoot it i love it to bits !

Sounds like the Fuel Cut of valve on the injector pump is playing up.

It sounds as if it is the reverse problem that I had. See my previous posting in April "Diesel not switching off". Sorry, have not learned how to do links on this site yet.
