Close ProTools and open the DAE from the DAE folder inside the System Folder. Under the File menu at the top of the screen, choose "select playback buffer size" and choose 24000K or whatever the highest is. These settings are for 24-bit session and require more memory. It's to be expected that 18 tracks of 24 bit will staul. Close out the application and when you start up PT again the changes should take effect. Fly

I have a g4 with digi001 system and are having problems with playing more than 18 track in 24 bit mode . When i load the 16 bit demo session in protools it plays fine , but when i import the same files into an 24 bit session it stops at once and the massage shows dae too slow.... . Ihave a very fast scsi disk , but the same problem appaers on both disks . Please someone help my !!!
