Hi all Im looking for a synth sound and cant find it...anyone can tell me what vst can do this sound? Its kind of a taklking synth you can hear at the beginning and then plays the bassline (not sure if its the same) its similar to the Ginuwine - Pony track sound ... years ago
any vsti that can do 'envelope following'. pretty basic subtractive synthesis type of thing. also called 'auto-wah' sometimes. hmm..seems like a formant filter thing going on too. what subtractive synth vstis do you have? maybe someone can help you get this sound with one of those.

Sounds like a vocoder effecting an electric piano with some distortion on it.

Go get U-No 62: And I've attached to this post a patch for it that will allow you to sweep the filter with the pitch bend wheel. With a small amount of parameter tweaking I think you can get the sound in the recording.
As martygras already has said: try a vocoder and maybe additional phaser or/and wahwah effect played with a stage piano. Here's a really quick and dirty bad sounding short demo, a possible starting point: Done with Steinberg's E-Piano, the Vocov213 () and the JS: guitar/wah (Reaper built-in plug) and a short sung wave as carrier.
the talking sound is most likely the filter - like i said variations on a formant filter will get you that. it is definitely an auto wah in that there is an envelope that opens and closes the filter when a note is hit - an auto wah just uses a band-pass filter usually so it will sound a bit different. that's my thought anyway.
