Best way to operate dithering?

Hi, What difference does it make if I use JS: dither_Psycho on the master track? Or, used the Dither tick box at the Render dialogue window? I just noticed the later in the recent Version. Thanks

the dither in the render box is the best one (search the forums for more info).

Also if you use the JS one you need to understand the parameters and how to set them ...

dither is indicated for any bit depth reduction where the output is a fixed-point signal (including monitoring). jeff dinces
