MBOX Snap, Crackle, Pop just sitting in Record Enable!???

I keep getting pops when I leave a track in record for more than about 10 minutes, as if I suddenly have a clocking issue. I'm using the internal sync of the MBox and I'm in analog input. The pops start out soft and sparce and slowly grow into a frenzy. It's very annoying when I'm trying to write. Thanks for your input Neal Ferrazzani ps. I'm using a G4 800
