Is there any add-on for reaper that will find the db range of a file?

Reaper doesn't do what you're asking. It would be very helpful if Reaper could at least show the peak value of any track, and these features have been asked for in the past. For basic and quick analysis, load the file in Wavosaur and hit S for statistics. Code:
