I have had no problem encoding my dvd rip into divx 5 and it looks great. The problem is that even though I have selected the ac3 file under the audio1 tab and checked just mux, I still am not getting any sound on the finished avi. When encoding is finished I receive the following error in a little pop up window. Sylia Script Error: "Member audio 2 not found" When I open the IFO file It is a bunch of garbled up characters. There is nothing wrong with the ac3 I have listened to it. Any help appreciated.
Here's the log, and in answer to your question no everything was set up under audio1. This isnt the same movie but I am having the same problem. This time I changed the audio to mp3 because the audio was in mpa format whatever that is.

Hi- You could have just cut and pasted the thing into your post. Unless I'm reading the log incorrectly, the audio is there (but I'm no expert at reading logs). Did the .avi come out the size you wanted (if Video and Audio were muxed together)? Do me a favor and get , point it at the movie and let us know if it sees an AC3 (or mp3) track there. There could be something else at work here.
What confuses me is that you said that you were simply muxing the ac3 track but repeatedly in the log it is showing that you are using a mp3 audio file? Also the audio filesize is only around 90mb whereas a ac3 track will be larger than that. Did you happen to select the vbrmp3 option in the audio overhead selection box? Strange. Please do what manono says and use gspot to see what if any audio was muxed into the avi. Mac

Hi- I guess you know how to mux the audio without GKnot doing it for you. The instructions are near the bottom of (don't forget to use Nandub and not VDub). But that doesn't solve your problem. And I don't know what the solution is, except to advise reinstalling GKnot. It looks to me like you did everything right. In the off chance that you installed DivX4 when you originally installed GKnot, get rid of it first, and don't reinstall it again. Then go to the Options Tab of GKnot and hit "Delete Registry Keys". Then just delete the GKnot folder. Then reinstall GKnot and the updates (but not DivX4), and when all done, then reinstall DivX5. I hope that does it for you. Good Luck.
Why is Nandub so similar to Vdub? It seems almost the same. UPDATE: Ok well I tried muxing with Nandub and it worked like a charm. In 4 minutes I had 2 perfectly muxed avi's, the mp3 and ac3 movie. Thanks for the help all. :D
