Ok, when you write or render a file you have the option to save existing markers as Cue points in the file. That is handy and works well. But how do you preserve them in any given file or file segment? If you have a file with Cues present, but at this time no markers, any new version of the file or segment (such as a render, write, consolidate, etc) strips the cues completely. Not carrying them further than one generation kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? Or is there an option somewhere that you can enable to preserve them? --Bill

You could also duplicate the original item, mute it, and just keep it around for navigation etc either on a hidden track or on the same track in FIPM mode, or even as a take
