Has TCE pledged support for Master X and TCTools for PT6/OSX? Anyone have an update from TCE?

Version 3 of the MasterX and version 3.5 of Tools will be updated for OS X. If you purchased them in the last quarter of 2002, you might be able to get the update for free.
Guys, Just to let you all know, I exchanged emails with a TC Electronics guy about a month and a half ago asking him about Master X3/X5. He tells me they ARE porting X3 to OSX/PT6, but they ARE NOT porting X5!!! That's a drag I feel, as I have been using X5 for all my CD mastering tasks (before I upgraded to HD), and I far preferred the sound of it compared to X3. Now I either have to stump up for an upgrade to a product I don't like as much, or change to a new software. He waffled on about DSP sharing and system resources/difficulty in re-writing etc... which sounded like a load of old hog-wash to me. I took it to mean that they weren't really committed to doing it. What I really want is a proper mastering Plug for TDM that has good metering and proper mastering tools (ie: decent peak limiting properly designed for CD prep) and that burns a playlist directly to a CD at high speed (ie: not realtime, having to hit the track increment control on an external CDR machine as a live performance). Have planned to try Wave Burner Pro, but I don't really wanna learn a new software, just wish PT could handle this side of things smoothly. I guess "roll Masterlist CD into PT" is what I'm talking about. As a wise man once said, "Ho Hum, wait and it'll come". Cheers all. Steve Bush
