hot starting problem

my dad volvo 940 2.3l, at the moment need good tips and advices, The car is H reg 146000mls. At present is developed a starting problem: When the engine is hot. Its will not start. Only start when it cool down or cold....please help. I myself might think is a fews things:Tdc sensor,idle control module... anyways someone out-there must come across this predicament. If u have,kindly appreciated.
