Since the standard has now been poured into its mould and been left to set, we want to get on with the task of making the best h.264 codec (open source) ......

I am normally trying to avoid to link to other webboards from here, but this thread here is a good read IMHO : Seems as if a couple of new features will be introduced with h.264, and some of them sound really neat ... or did somebody of you ever hear of a NALU before ??? .. :lol: ...
"NALU" Yeah, it's a NAL-Unit is somesort of unit in which the h264 guys save all their data,.. it's explained in the h264 draft. (haven't read the linked post, but will do :) ) /edit: I see it's explained in the post :) edit/ Cu Selur

Yes, and we finally found a decent way to put them in Matroska :) Even putting it in MP4 is not yet specified :D Should we submit Matroska to the MPEG-4 forum ? The users will probably decide : Matroska or MP4 (no other choice for advanced features).
