This is why Volvo asked us to paste this over our web site, they know many of these cars no longer get serviced at Volvo dealerships, and they (Volvo) want to ensure that as many of the ones affected get checked. I am always ready to voice criticism where due, but I think Volvo are taking all possible steps to ensure safety is maintained at the highest level after establishing there is a possible fault, and asking us to help get the message out supports that. I will pass on any further info that gets passed to me on this.
