When I burn images they burn successfully and they play but I give them to a friend that has an A03 and he cannot browse them in windows explorer. He cannot even read them in. What could cause this?

It should not happen ! best answer I have is that there is a bug in the windows installation of your friend causing problem to read DVD UDF. But i imagine his A03 is working nice if he burn himself the DVD, right ?

This is definitely no crap media issue...try disabling DMA mode. Usually, the errors caused by DMA mode are different ones, but one never knows :sly:

I'm confused. Earlier you said "When I burn images they burn successfully and they play...", which lead me to believe they play in your 104, but not your friend's A03. If you can't read the discs (you just burned) in your own burner, it sounds like a hardware failure. Could be a laser/calibration issue.

Padre what I meant is you should be able to explore them much like any other data right? As for my friend he went to copy them and it says data is corrupted..

If it's a film on the DVD then use Smartripper to drag it to HDD. But if it's just data then more elaboration on your part would be needed... Peace out
